About the School Chairman:
Mr. Adham El Kersh, the Chairman of "The Egyptian British Organization for Education and Talent Nurture", founded Roots Nursery which was accredited by the Ministry of Social Affairs in the year 2000. He succeeded in establishing a distinguished English Language Nursery based on high standards of intellectual growth and discipline.
Mr. Adham decided to establish a co-educational school; Roots, located in the heart of Nasr City on an area of 1100 square meters. The school was inaugurated in 2003 with a vision to build up responsible, caring, skilled and effective members of society to face and build the future.
About the School Principal:
Mrs. Mona El Massry, Roots current School Principal, has an MA degree in Education Management from Wolverhampton University in the UK. Her 23 years of experience cover the fields of teaching English and school administration. She held the position of Headmistress for the IGCSE and the Secondary stages for 7 successive years. Mrs. Mona El Massry was awarded "The Cambridge Special Contribution Award" in 2003 by the University of Cambridge, UK, for her significant contribution to the promotion of IGCSE in Egypt.
Roots School caters for a wide range of students from toddlers attending Roots Nursery to Kindergarten, Primary, Preparatory and Secondary stages in the national division.
The school opened its British International division in the academic year 2011-2012 to offer its services to students starting year 7 to year 12.
Roots International School (RIS) received its license for Foundation, Reception and Key Stages 1 and 2 and was accredited in April 2010.
Admission for all stages starts in November.
